Product details
A Pneumatic Quick Exhaust Valve (QEV) is a specialized, compact directional control valve designed to drastically increase the operating speed of pneumatic actuators, such as cylinders. ?? Key Function and Mechanism The QEV is typically installed directly at or near the cylinder port. Its function is to bypass the long return line and restrictive exhaust port of the main directional control valve. Cylinder Extension (Supply): When compressed air is supplied, the valve's internal mechanism (a shuttle or diaphragm) seals the exhaust port, allowing air to flow directly into the cylinder. Cylinder Retraction (Exhaust): When the main directional control valve shifts (cutting off the supply), the pressure inside the cylinder is immediately higher than the inlet pressure. This pressure differential shifts the shuttle, instantly opening a large, direct exhaust port to the atmosphere.
